I recently fitted a baxi...

I recently fitted a baxi solo 12 he, it was fine when the programmer was on constant but when put on to timed it blew the 3amp fused spur. ive replaced the programmer and it still did it, and now it wont come on at all. ive temped the boiler and pump and its running ok off the boiler stat, any ideas please ??

Yes there was a tempus 3 in there before and ive put in a drayton lp722. the electrician put this in and all the wiring is correct but he says theres a fault on the wiring within the system but i wanted a second opinion

Does it make a difference whether it is the hot water or the central heating - it sounds like there is a short.

doesnt make a difference whether its on hot water or heating, the original prorammer got wet and it blew the board in it, but i cant see how its shorted the wiring further up the line ??

I suppose if the programmer sent power up the neutral it could cause a problem with some of the electronics.
