My battery went flat im purchased a new battery and fitted

my battery went flat im purchased a new battery and fitted ok but the immobilizer light stays on constantly it will turn over but no start tried clanping both terminals together but no change any ideas

What might work is to disconnect the battery positive cable for 10 minutes and then hold down the unlock button on the remote whilst re-connecting the battery positive lead
If this doesn't help then I'm sorry to say that the car will need to be plugged into a dealer level diagnostic tool, in order to re-programme the key remote to match the car security
