Hi - what was the reason for using the fake whatsapp?

Ask Your Own UK Law Question
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
It was at family court over visitation with my daughter. We had agreed before the hearing via mediation so I cancelled the hearing and told my ex we wouldn't need to go. However she said she had already paid her barrister so took me to the hearing to claim costs. I provided evidence of me cancelling court and telling her that court was not necessary. However she still proceeded.
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
I sent several messages to my ex sating the hearing was not needed but she said it was too close to the hearing.
Solicitor: Jo C., Barrister replied 8 months ago

What were you arrested for?

Ask Your Own UK Law Question

Fraud by false representation
Solicitor: Jo C., Barrister replied 8 months ago

Sorry but what is the fraud?

Ask Your Own UK Law Question
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
I had 10 pieces of evidence. All legitimate and showing I contacted court 12 days before court and contacted my ex 5 days before court. However I used one message to my ex from 12 days before the hearing which I made up as I forgot to tell her when I told the court.
Solicitor: Jo C., Barrister replied 8 months ago

Ok

But what is the fraud?

Ask Your Own UK Law Question
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
The fact that I used a message as evidence which I hadn't sent.
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
She was claiming costs from me to pay for her barrister. £2200 for her representation. The magistrates didn't award any costs so she is now saying because I used false evidence it is fraud.
