Customer Question

I was interviewed in October 15 under caution for failing to declare my wife's private pension going back to 2007/8. Amount involved £18000 approx. I have subsequently repaid this sum in FULL!! Have only just received a letter this morning (1/8/16) from the DWP saying that they are considering pursuing the matter further through CPS.
I am 64, severely disabled and terrified of going to prison. Please advise me of the likely sentence.

I am a barrister practising criminal law. I can help with this.

Tell me, do you have previous convictions? If so, what are they for and when were they imposed?
