Customer Question

Hi, my partner has recently pleaded guilty to abh and is due to appear in a magistrates court for sentencing in a couple of weeks time. As it is his first offence we are unsure on what we need to do before court in terms of legal representation, if any? Does he need a defence lawyer as he has already pleaded guilty? In addition what sentence could he be given? Many thanks

Thank you for your question. My name is ***** ***** I will try to help with this.
What are the circumstances of the offence please?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
At a family party the victim and their friends (all complete strangers)attempted to enter the premises uninvited and was told to leave verbally by a family member. 15 minutes later the victim approached my partner outside and a fight broke out, whereby my partner (who was intoxicated) punched and kicked the victim. He was arrested and immediately pleaded guilty.

What injuries did he have?

What is his likely sentence? And what does he have to do to prepare for court or does he just turn up?

I'm not sure if our posts are crossing.
I need to know what the victim's injuries were?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
My apologies.
The victim had bruising to the ribs, 1 broken tooth and 1 tooth knocked out

Ok. No problem.
If it was adjourned off in court then it is probably for a PSR.
Do you remember if they ordered an all options report?
