Please help me. My boyfriend...

Please help me. My boyfriend had a fall out with a friend because he owed him a few hundred pounds, and they got into a argument but no actions were involved. The guy who accused my boyfriend made false allegations, he said he has a firearm and robbed my house with another two black guys who now have the firearm. My bf was kept in custody for two days and now is taken to prison because his bail got declined. we have another court app in a few days for another bail application. i dont know what to do and my boyfriend is innocent. please can someone give me some advice. could it be because the bail address is close to the other guys address? should we change that? anything else? please help.

Was he legally represented?

yes he was but the solicitor is telling me there is nothing we can do because the judge will give him a 50 50 chance let out if the other two guys come forward who were involved with the robbery but there was no robbery there were no other two guys so what shall i do? the solicitor is saying if we change the bail address there might be a chance. its not fair because they believed the other guy with a blind eye

On what basis was he remanded?

no previous record at all. he has never been to court or anything ever. he was remanded because they believe that he will interfer with the other guy if he is let out on bail

Ok. Well at this stage even if the witnesses have made things up the Court have to take the Prosecution case at its highest.

Another bail application can be made within 7 days.

The Prosecution have to show there is a substantial risk that witnesses will be interfered with.

As such he would need another address to stay at.

If this was achieved then the Court may let out on bail.

He will probably be excluded from the address and not to enter the road.

But another address or a Bail Hostel will be required.

I know this seems unfair but at this stage it has to be the case that the Prosecution will be taken at its highest.

Make another application in 7 days and make sure there is an alternative address.

we have made another application for next wednesday, he is to appear on video call then. we have another address well i have a flat on rent out of london so should that be ok? sorry but for a bit of confidence out of ten how much would you say is the possibility for him to get bail if we arrange another address ? :( we dont mind if hes banned or anything from the area we just want him out of prison because its not his fault at all. he wont go to jail for a long time will he? they have no proof against him because there is nothing, the solicitor said that they want the other two guys to own up but what can we do when there is no other two guys and he made it up? :(

Yes.

You need to alleviate the Prosecution fears in terms of interfering with witnesses.

So any address, ideally outside the area is what you need.

As for the case, nothing really can happen until a plea is formally entered - then negotiations can take place in terms of evidence and plea etc.
