I had a total knee replacement at the whittington hospital

I had a total knee replacement at the whittington hospital in febuary 2008 it appeared to go compleatly wrong . I have since found out that the surgeon who carried out the operation was on suspention from operatig till march 2008 and then go for retraining .
I have since been offered £25000 from the hospital which I turned down have I done the right thing
