my 13 yr old son...

my 13 yr old son who has ADHD was arrested for giving another boy of the same age a black eye at school. the police said we would have to travel to a station 45 minutes away to make a statement. He said if we waived our right to a solicitor he could be interviewed at our local station voluntarily. I decided this would be less stress on my son. He then de arrested him. My son answered all questions honestly and was then taken for fingerprinting and dna and a photograph. on the day of the incident my son had not had his ADHD medication which makes him impulsive and unable to make wise choices. We are due to go back to our local station for a first warning on thursday this week.

I am very upset that they now have his dna and wanted to know if we could get it scrapped because we went voluntary. I feel I was tricked into allowing this to be given. My son later that day told me that the boy had been bullying him for over a year and he couldnt help his reaction on that day. My son has been attending a boxing class for over a year. I also worry that they might take his licence even though the police man said he wouldnt go to the academy i dont trust him.
