VerifiedIf the property is in both of your names, you have a legal right to request that it be sold. This means that your partner cannot force you to be in joint parnterhsip. You are therefore entitled to apply to the court for an order against him to sell the property if he does not do so voluntarily.
I suggest you first contact the bank to find out the position with respect to the mortgage. You should then write to your partner telling him you want the property sold and if he fails to do so within 14 days you will apply to the court for an order to this effect.
