If you are referring to whether there is an implied term on contracts to sell and buy cars that they must be reasonably fit for the purpose for which they were supplied (ie. to drive) then the answer is yes, there is an implied term. It is implied in to the contract by s.14(3) of the Sale of Goods Act 1979.
