My son is divorced. His 3 children are living with exwife.

My son collects them from school. He is on holiday at the moment. When he comes back he will see the headteacher. I believe, by law, she cannot stop him or me from collecting them from school. But it is the embarrasment and hurt she wants to cause us, by writing these letters. Besides it is not in the interest of the childrens' welfare. The headteacher should not be involved in the wrangle.

About a year ago she wrote to school that my son cannot see them in school, which was cleared by the court. Now she has written that I cannot collect them from school. She is a law unto herself, does not always follow court instructions.

You have not given me any new information, nor have you answered my question. I know my son has the right to collect children and the right to nominate any one to collect on his behalf. In my reply to your question for more information I said my son will meet the headteacher to sort this out.

The issue I am concerned with is her false accusations of abduction on various occations. Can I sue her for defamation/slander?

It is the same accusation. She wrote a letter to the headteacher some time last year accusing my son of abduction, which my son refuted. Later the courts awarded him joint custody of the children. He started collecting them from school.

Before going on holiday, he suggested to his exwife that I will collect them from school when he is not able to collect (i.e. when he is at work). It is then that she wrote a letter to the headteacher (copy to me) saying I was part of the abduction plot so I should not be allowed to collect children from school.
