I'm afraid that is not a threats to kill within the meaning of the law because he could not immediately have carried out the threat since you were inside the house. The law is quite clear on that point and this cannot be a threats to kill. It may be a minor public order matter though and I suspect thats what they will face.
I am not sure whether they work with you or not. If they do you can always complain to your employers although its probably that they would respond by arguing its a police matter. If he is an employee of yours you can always suspend him until the police investigation is at an end.
Im afraid that if it charged as a S5 the highest penalty he can get for this is a fine so a prosecution is unlikely to resolve very much.
If he returns, why don't you just not let him in? You have a spy hole I imagine? If not, they can be fitted very easily and are useful.
