A baby was born in the UK to illegal immigrant parents. can the baby apply for a brittish citizenship and what will happen to the status of the parents. The parents have been working and paying taxes for 8 years

thank u but u didn't answer me about the parents status.. they have no freedom now because they are illegals.

There is currently a Home Office discretionary policy (DP5/96) known as the 7 year child concession under which they could try and apply for lawful status as they have a child who has lived in the UK continously for at least 7 years.


They should get an immigration expert to assist them with their application if necessary.
