Hi, unfortunately yes your partner would be entitled to half of your works pension. Upon a divorce, the matrimonial assets will be split. The general starting point for the division of assets is generally 50 / 50. However the actual amount is dependant upon the financial circumstances of the parties and whether there is any children.

If you are divorced he will not receive the spouse pension on your death.
Depending on how long you have been married and what other assets there are this is an area which will have to be reflected in any financial settlement that is reached within the financial side of the divorce
