I think it is possible that I may have an arrest warrant out

Customer Question

I think it is possible that I may have an arrest warrant out in the UK from many years ago. If I clear UK immigration in Paris for the Eurostar, would I be arrested?

If the warrant is still active the yes, you may be arrested at immigration.

However what you should do is call the Police in the UK and ask them to search the national computer to see if there is an active arrest warrant for you.

If there is, I would suggest not travelling to the UK.

If there is no warrant then you are free to enter the UK without worry.

I have tried to ring the Police before, and they can never give me an answer on the phone, something about the Data Protection Act.

Is there a particular part of the Police that I can call to chek? Such as an international division or something, or even UK border?

A warrant for arrest will be on the national police computer.

The police HQ is +44NNN-NN-NNNN
