My wife sent in her application for her HSMP extension on 15

Resolved Question:

My wife sent in her application for her HSMP extension on 15 July 2009. The homeoffice is stating that they only recieved the document on the 9 September 2009 and hence require maintance funds up until 9 August. What happens if there is a disagreement as to the posting date, also allowing for the recent strike action

Was the application posted by Recorded or Special Delivery or normal First Class Post?

Many thanks,

The application was posted by normal First Class Post.

If the application was posted by normal first class post, I am afraid proof of posting is not necessarily proof of delivery and you will need to provide the information requested by the UK Border Agency.
