Customer Question

My engine malfunction light came on with a 09 Kuga which was serviced 3 months ago
JA: Do you have the trouble code? Do you have a code reader or scan tool?
Customer: Nope
JA: Not a problem. You can work with the Ford Mechanic to figure that out. What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: Ford Kuga 2ltr diesel 2wd on a 09
JA: What year is your Ford?
Customer: 2009
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just got her home, did switch off and sat for a while, also has the orange engine light on
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Nope

Hello, I hope you are well.

Unfortunately, without the diagnostic trouble codes it is almost a needle in a haystack hunt.

Are you able to take the car to a small independent garage or car repairs shop and have the dtc's read?
