Hello and Welcome to justanswer...

This could be one of the rollers / the tensioner for the belt - the water pump , the main bottom pulley or the alternator....

I would suggest having these things checked specifically .

If it is nothing on the outside of the timing belt - then the cover must be removed to check inside..

I Sincerely XXXXX XXXXX have helped you - Please just ask me if you need more help...

Kind Rgds, MIKE

Thanks for the answer, I guess this isn't as major as changing the timing belt.

How long will it last until it starts to cause me problems as I have just paid out for a new Dual mass flywheel and clutch which cost me a lot of money to fix. The noise isn't all the time, this morning I didn't hear the noise, it comes and goes depend on how much driving I do I seem to drive through it.

Can I be safe enough to run it for another month until I can budget it in to next months salary?

Regards

AdrXXXXX XXXXX

Hello again thank you for your reply..

Im afraid its very difficult for me to say how it will last as we don't know for sure just whats rattling...

These things can last months - or fail the same day...

The best advice I can give is to have it looked at least straightaway - and then you would have your mind at rest - or arrange the repairs etc - all as needed / found..

I hope that helps you a little further...

Best Rgds - MIKE
