Try replacing the fuel filter and adding a diesel treatment to the fuel tank to clean the injectors.

I have a 58 plate focus 2.0tdci. Every now and then after
I have a 58 plate focus 2.0tdci. Every now and then after changing gear my car hesitates to go. It always seems to be when I have been going at speed in top gear at over 60mph and going uphill. When I slow down let's say at a roundabout and then started to speed up and go through the gears there's is a noticible flat spot or hesitation to go, and there is a strange noise that comes from under the bonnet. Like air being released or sucked in, I can't work out which, but only makes that sound when in that state. Any other time the car drives perfect. It tends to use more fuel when it this state aswell and will usually go back to normal after about 15-20 minutes. I've tried various things to tackle this issue. I've had the dpf removed and baked. A new egr. I've had the fuel injectors refurbished and new fuel and air filter. Can you shed any light on the issue?? … read more
