Customer Question

Been working for a company for 5 years, I have just been dismissed for gross misconduct on the grounds of theft. I cannot prove I did not do this, the amount comes to £4800 but over 5 separate events, (money banked was apparently short 5 times). On CCTV, my boss says my actions are suspicious, but I haven't done anything wrong. He says he will get the police involved, but I don't know how to defend myself. what can I do?
