Hi, I have a San 4s ER-380 and I was trying to reprogram a PLU but now the cash/tend (drawer doesn’t open) button doesn’t work when I finish a transaction. I can still use the no sale open button but not the cash/tend. Please help

I am using the register as normal but I have to open the drawer with the no sale key

It might have something to do with the dept. keys because I was trying to repurpose them. It worked but not as expected

Ok, then the steps you programmed may have to be undone.

Do you know the exact sequence of buttons you pressed?

No, it’s been 2 days and I tried many things afterward. I think it’s best if I could reprogram the dept keys correctly. The two keys I want to change is the lotto key which has no tax and another key for misc items which also doesn’t have tax.

In theory, any button could have been pressed.

Without knowing what has been done, it is not possible to provide steps to undo it.

The only thing I can suggest is a factory reset and reprogram.

Can you walk me through the reprogram?
The register only uses three dept keys.
1. Tax at 8.75%
2.lotto no tax
3.no tax misc items

Also there isn’t any need for registering clerks or dept descriptions.
