Customer: Hi, I recorded BBC1 'Strike The Cockoo ;;;' in 3 parts.
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: Part 1 played ok Part 2 also Part 3 says 'NOT SUPPORT FILE FOORMAT' and does not work ! any ideas ? HDR 1100S bought this year serial n° 63 71 08 236 00361
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: just saw this problem yesterday evening , not tried anything yet...
JA: Anything else you want the Electronics Expert to know before I connect you?

Hi,

Having done some research this is a problem that other HDR 1100S owners have suffered with. Sometimes it is resolved by powering the unit off (say for 1 minute) at the mains and then back on, but for others they have had to reformat the hard drive. This link provides some details of this:

Try the power off/on solution first and if not you may need to reformat the hard drive which will unfortunately wipe any existing recordings.
