With what you have described here this sounds like a fault with the engine cooling system becoming over pressurized. This can occur if you have a leak with the cylinder head gasket allowing to much exhaust gas and heat into the cooling system past the gasket internally.

I recommend having the engine checked over for any overheating issues. If an overheating issue is found it will need to be repaired. I also recommend checking for any coolant restrictions. If there is a restriction this can cause pressure build up as well. If these are all found to be o.k. then the cylinder head gasket will need to be checked to see if it needs to be replaced.
