I have a Ford Transit 2007 and the remote fob doesn't work…

Hi Paul good morning to you and sorry for the delay in responding

Ok the locks are cycling as the bcmii (Body control Module ) is seeing a door open (even though they are closed )

This is commonly a faulty latch either a front door or sliding door

Ideally this should be connected to a diagnostic datalogger so you can see which latch is the issue

However I can give you wiring information which you can carry out tests at the bcmii to find out which latch isn’t sending an earth

Regarding your remote issue I would suspect they have failed

They are coded with the pats system and as the vehicle starts this indicates the remotes have failed internally

The batteries in the remotes cannot be replaced and are charged from the ignition switch charging ring when the vehicle is running (the key charges )

Ok I have studied the wiring for you

In regards ***** ***** remote issue can you check fuse 64 (5amp in the passengers fuse box )

The central locking cycling issue will be caused by a door ajarfault

Basically the system works as follows

When you close a door the latch /(internal ajar switch ) sends an earth to the bcmii (this is part of the passengers fuse box (body control module )

In your case one of the ajar switches is not sending an earth or the wiring between one of the latches and the bcmii is at issue

So you need to test for an earth at the following pins/wiring at the bcmii with the relavent latch /door closed over

When you find which one isn’t receiving an earth you can either replace the relavent latch or you can just take join a price of wire between the bcmii wire and earth (this allows the central locking to work but when you open the faulty door the door ajar warning light won’t come on .

Here is the wiring (all pins are at connector 3 ) on transit this C3 should be on the bcmii next to the relavent connector

Drivers door = C3 - pin 1 (white wire)

Passengers door = C3 - pin 14 (green and violet wire )

Sliding door (right hand ) = C3 - pin 8 (yellow wire)

Sliding door (left hand ) = C3 - pin 19 (green wire)

Rear cargo/liftgate = C3. - pin 13 (yellow and orange wire )
