I have an L200 mitsubishi sportero. I serviced it myself…

Did you bleed off the system using the bleed bolt on the top side of the fuel filter housing ,

if not you will always have a air lock in the system.

With engine off remove the bleed bolt with a 10 mm and pump the top until no air bubbles come out ,then replace the

bleed bolt and then carry on pumping the pump until it becomes hard.

Start engine and pump again 20 times ,switch off engine pump again until hard .

This should bleed all air with in the system.

Yes ,can you check for the malfunction code ,could be something else causing you this .

You need a code reader or or scan tool to check for codes .

Probably a P0093 code .

Do you visually see any diesel dripping on the ground ,checking from the rear tank to the front of the engine .

If the fuel filter was leaking before then this maybe an old code and to clear is to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes

then do a test drive see how she runs, and if the check engine light comes back on or not.

if it does then the system has a leak or an internal leak like injectors fuel pump or even the fuel pressure sensor .

the PCM will trip this code when its see a sudden large drop in fuel pressure .

These two code is common and nothing to worry about unless you are having always a hard time to start the engine .

we see this mostly on none automatic L200's so if you do have a manual don't worry about it will not cause the check engine light to come ON.

Its a Communication issue between the Can system and PCM .

These code could also be due to the problem you had .

Too much oil is like having too little ,always make sure the level is in the shaded part of the dipstick.

You need to have the injectors and fuel pump checked and re calibrated a leaking injector or pump could be the problem .

If you have over 100.000 k on this engine then best be done the calibration and test.

I would also do a Radiator coolant pressure test or Co2 test you may have a bad head gasket .
