Vauxhall zafira B 1.9cdti (z19dth) 150bhp.
When stationary if you put accelerator to the floor the revs bounce between 1650 and 1850 rpm and will not rev past. When driving, having 2 change gear at 1500-1600 rpm as when it reaches 1750 rpm bounces like its on limiter and car kangaroos. If in 5th gear I drop to 2nd gear and get the revs at3k or above can accelerate as normal, however when decelerating as revs are dropping when they reach 2750 rpm the dial jumps between 1750 and 2750 rpm until its less then 1750 rpm then drops as noraml.

Hi, only recurring fault codes im getting are left side light malfunction, right side light malfunction and trunk light malfunction. Also got foot well air temp sensor out of range and air quality sensor out of range. If I unplug something I get the relevant fault code until its plugged back in and codes cleared. But no engine codes ect

If no engine light comes on while driving, snd no codes set as yet, does it still perform normally at mid to high rpm?

Does the ECM have current software, when was last update?

Hi, if I can get above 3000rpm by droping from 5th to 2nd she goes really well and same if I hold accelerator fully down occasionally revs past the bouncing point (1750rpm) I can hold revs at over 3000 rpm and set off in 1st keeping revs over 3000 rpm she goes really well. But no codes or even eml lights when driving. All lights come on with ignition and go off as they should. I dont know what software's on or when/if it's been updated... if it has been what version should I be looking at? Thanks

Have you had a Vauxhall or Opel dealer tech look at your car yet?

I don't know of any z19dth that I've seen that didn't put the engine light on with a driveability concern like yours.

Sounds like a fuel pump, or rail pressure sensor issue, but regardless it should put the engine light on, I feel.

It has new fuel rail pressure sensors on as well as injectors. I have op-com and torque pro, my friends had his snap-on diagnosis and his launch diagnosis plugged in and neither of us has a had any fault codes come up. Main dealer want £75 to plug in and read fault codes and I think it be waste of money if they dont find any dtc. Live data showed irregularities in boost control valve, was delivering more than what was called for, fitted new valve and live data is as it should, cant find any thing else out the ordinary. If fuel pumps faulty would there be an error code for that? Thanks

Was the programming done for the injectors?

And the rail pressure sensor?

I find it hard to believe the engine light doesn't come on.

I think your 75 pounds would be a good investment with a tech with GM resources.

Hi, had tech 2 on yesterday, no dtc detected injectors not coded and they couldn't code them, they checked injector plugs and did live data comparison. Apart from injector coding (write to eeprom failed) (they say not uncommon and wont effect the running) they never come across this issue before. Don't mind paying the odd £40/£50 for diagnosis but main stealer charged me £255 and told me nothing I didnt already know reminded me why I don't use them lol ☹

That's pretty rough on their part, charging that much for no further advancement.

Injector coding failure is their first issue.

I say find another dealer.

Was £75 for diagnosis and 3hrs labour + vat they wanted to try software update at £150 + vat but couldn't guarantee that would solve issue, also suggested new ecu, at just short of a £1000, again no guarantee that would solve issue. Main dealer are expensive, they say you pay for expertise but they gussing now like everyone else.

I hope for their sake they disconnected a sensor, to see if the light does come on and logs an appropriate code.

This is starting to sound like an accelerator to brake pedal issue.

Regardless of what is occuring, some piece of engine data should show up incorrect.

Did they take a snapshot on Tech2 while roadtesting the car?
