I have a p021...

I have a p021 code on my 2008 g35 sedan. I need to know if bank 2 is drivers or passengers side?

Mechanic's Assistant: Just to clarify, what's the exact code? And have you tried to reset it?

P021. Yes many times.

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Sedan yourself? What have you tried so far?

I have changed the plugs, I want to change the cam shaft sensor if that is the problem, but I don't know what side bank 2 is on.

Do you have any drivability issue.
Is the engine misfiring or do you hear any engine rattle coming from the front of the engine .

it rattles when driving slowly. The plugs were fouled on drivers side only. They were almost ten years old though. Still very fast when I nail the gas? I want to try changing the camshaft sensor but need to know which side is bank 2.
P0021 INFINITI - Intake Valve Timing Control Performance Bank 2Possible causes
Faulty Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid Valve
Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid Valve harness is open or shorted
Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid Valve circuit poor electrical connection
Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor
Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted
Camshaft Position Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
Faulty Crankshaft Position Sensor (POS)
But saying all this I’ve seen low oil levels and pressure cause this problem. So first check oil level.
Some cases I’ve sorted this issue with just a oil flush and oil and filter change.
Need further assistance with this issue then please get back to me anytime.

I already have all this info. What side is bank 2 on? That is all I need to know. The info you just provided is free anywhere on forums, or my code reader for that matter.
Bank one is on the side of cylinder 1 .

I have had several oil changes. This has been ongoing for over a year. Bank 2 drivers side then correct? Cam shaft sensors are cheap I would like to try that. I wanted to do a gunk engine treatment, but the Nissan mechanic told me I could plug the channels for the oil flow.
Sir bank two drivers side .
Ok now doing a engine flush could be dangerous depending on how much sludge is in the engine .
Only true way to see is to remove one of the valve covers .
If under the valve cover it’s totally full of sludge then you will have to remove all head valve covers oil sump and manually flush from top to bottom.
If not that bad the an engine flush can be done.In your case I would remove the two OCV valves and check that the two work . Using 12 volt battery. Also you will see if they are clogged up with sludge.
