Customer Question

I have a civic cdti in the workshop and it wont start. The glow plug light flashes instead of staying illuminated.
JA: Just to clarify, can you tell me which light it is? And does it blink first, then stay on steady?
Customer: glow plug light
JA: What year is your Civic?
Customer: Blinks continuously
JA: Are you fixing your Civic yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: the car is an 06 model yes i am
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: It has had new glow plugs fitted, it cranks but fails to start. I went to a honda dealership running rough and came out not running at all. The changed 3 of the 4 injectors. We have an identical car here which works fine, and have been swapping parts back and forth to try and find the problem. One thing that came up on the diagnostics is a short circuit on the glow plugs. We have even swapped the engine bay wiring loom over to check if there was a break in the loom. So far we have come up empty.....
