UK Car Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi thanks for using the site. A slow/hesistant startup can really only be tied to a battery that is dying, which would lead to insufficient amperage to the starter, A starter that itself is going bad, or an accessory or engine part that is causing resistance to start. Even if you think the battery is OK, I need you to get it tested first. That is most common and you cannot and should not test anything else, until that is done. Please get back to me and let me know the results. Thanks.
