My focus RS 2010 has hot engine, with cooling fan running,

Customer Question

My focus RS 2010 has hot engine, with cooling fan running, but the turbo is running cold(off scale left), with higher than normal oil pressure in the turbo, suggesting the turbo temp reading is ok? What could be the problem?

Hi, I'm Ron and I will be helping you today.
Stand by for a moment while I prepare your answer.

This can be a bad instrument cluster if these are reading so far off. I would first check these temps with the scan tool and other gauges.

We need to be sure that the readings are reading correctly to the engines actual temps.

Thanks, Ron

Turboboost works fine, and oil pressure moves with revs.?? Is it normal for cooling fan to be constantly running.?
Expert:  rpmdiag replied 8 months ago.

No, fan should not run all the time, the rest is normal.
