Ive just changed the fuel filter on a 1.8 freelander and now she wont start
JA: Is the fuel filter an external one, or is it inside the tank?
Customer: Inside the tank one.
JA: What year is your Freelander?
Customer: x reg, 2000
JA: Are you fixing your Freelander yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes i do my own mechanics, ive tried to , ignition key several times say 20 to pump petrol into and fill the filter and a glip of petrol in the air filter to try run fuel through her. she some times idles for about a Minuit.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No just trying to get her to start after a fuel filter change.

if you have a pressure gauge then I'd next confirm you have at least 3 bar at the fuel rail with the ignition on

as its quite possible to stall the pump if the filter isn't pushed fully home

1st thing to try is to remove the fuel filler cap and then flick the ignition on whilst listening for the brief ‘buzz’ of the pump
