JA: Hi. How can we be of help?
Customer: i having a problem with my car. i have 2006 fiat stilo. my key fob is no longer working. i have changed the button batttery but still not working.
JA: Have you changed a battery before?
Customer: nope. this was first time.
JA: What is the model of your '06 Fiat?
Customer: Fiat Stilo. 1.4L petrol
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yeh. I wanted to fix myself before I ask help from garage. I am just a studnet. I have disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to 2 hours to reset the ECU.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I have nothing else to add. Will i get charged for this service?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

The problem could be with the vehicle but it's more likely that you have a bad fob and it will need to be replaced. If you have a second fob that does work and this one does not then that does indicate fob failure.

If you don't have a second one then what needs to be done is have this fob tested with a key fob tester to see if it is transmitting. If not then it will need to be replaced.
