JA: What year is your Lancer?
Customer: 2006/7
JA: Are you fixing your Lancer yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have rang an authorised fob repairer for advice but he thinks the problem may be to do with the chip in the key for the immobiliser.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hi there,

I does sound like your 1st key has a transponder chip problem since being dropped.

Unusual, but it does happen.

So you will to replace that key at some point soon.
