whilst resetting oil service light on my 2010 mazda 6 i accidentally put wire in first hole instead of third now i have various warning lights and no power steering i wondered if i disconnect battery earth cable for ten seconds and reconnect would this solve problem or give me an even bigger problem?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!You can try a battery disconnect but it may not change anything.It sounds as if you jumped an incorrect terminal in the data link connector, which may have simply blown a fuse or it could have done module damage.Were you jumping terminals at the data link connector? If so, what were the wire colors? Did you jump terminals to each other, or to power or ground?
