Jaguar XJ8 Feb 2003 4.2 auto model. The alarm goes off at random intervals
after locking the car - is it possible to disable it e.g. by removing a fuse?

We may have a problem with the bonnet security switch or possibly a door latch causing the false alarm activation. As far as disabling the alarm this really cannot be done since it is integrated with the security and central locking system. The bonnet switch is right on the latch. We can jump it with a piece of wire or paper clip to see if the problem is corrected.
