Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If mode will change to vent or floor but nothing blows out the defrost vents then there is either a physical blockage in the ducts or the heater box, or there is a door issue in the heater box. It could possibly an issue with the control head or calibration.

Did the problem start after a repair?

It does change to floor and vent correctly and you're able to control temperature?

Did the problem happen gradually or suddenly?

All vents work fine with whatever mode you select & the temperature is fine it's just the windscreen vents do work at all. The windscreen mode makes a whirling noise when set to that mode, the problem seems to have happened suddenly . There has been no other works carried out on the car which might have caused this problem.

Have you tried a battery disconnect?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I haven't , what would that do ?
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 1 year ago.

That may induce a self calibration and fix the problem. If that doesn't work then the heater box is most likely going to need to come out and be disassembled.

Will try at the weekend thanks.
