I have a mitsibushi l200 k74. I have just had bottom end

I have a mitsibushi l200 k74 . I have just had bottom end rebuilt but there is still a tapping noise from the top can you help

If the tapping is coming from the top end then first try and adjust the valves .

Valve adjustment should be done when engine is hot ,

Adjust to 0.25mm Ex and 0.25mm In .

Valve should always be reset if the head was removed .

Yes you said ,but is the tapping more of a clunk or knock .

I can't hear this so try and explain best you can .

Okay recheck the lifter one by one as you have play due to a possible bad lobe on the cams.. (a possibility ).
