I have a 2006 ford ranger and the tail lights and front side

Customer Question

Hi Steve I have a 2006 ford ranger and the tail lights and front side lights and dash illumination are on constantly. Only way to get them off is to take fuse 19 out from the fuse box.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

Fuse 19 in either fuse box doesn't show to be related to the park lamps so I'm assuming either that was a typo or you simply misread the location number.

The park lamp relay is stuck on for some reason. The problem could be the relay itself, it could be the headlamp switch, an internal issue in the smart junction block, or a wiring issue between the switch and junction block.

Have you swapped the park lamp relay with another to see if the lights stayed off?
