Vivaro van, start engine, NO accelleration switch off and back on up to 6 times and it will respond in the end ! Fitted new air flow unit new pedal mechanism and several hours labour still no better, works fine on first fire up Every morning

It sounds as if the engine is going into limp in. If the engine controller sees an issue that could cause damage or impede it's ability to control RPM then it can limit power. You may have a fuel system issue, an inaccurate sensor, a wiring issue, it could be the ECM itself.

The first step in diagnosing the issue is to see what fault codes are setting. Do you know what codes are currently setting?
