Have a A160 (2002). Heater blowers are ok on all settings

Customer Question

Have a A160 (2002). Heater blowers are ok on all settings (1-5) also able to direct airflow to different vents but only cold air, getting no heat, also no lights on either recirculating or EC switches. Haynes manual has no fault finding for this.

Hi,

I am sorry that you have not been helped yet. I just came online and saw your question

There are a few possible causes including restricted heater core, faulty control panel or actuator or even broken temperature blend door

you need to check both heater core hoses at the firewall in the engine compartment with engine idling and heater on to see if they are getting hot. If not, then we have a restriction

If they are, then I need to know if yours has manual climate controls or automatic climate controls
