I am having difficulty timing the crank up before installing

Customer Question

Hi i am having difficulty timing the crank up before installing the cams on a mini 1.4 r56 57plate. When it's timed at 90degrees before tdc and all the pistons are at the same level does it matter which revolution of the crank it is when I lock it as I knew you can lock it 180degrees out?

No as long as long as the crank shaft locking pin is fitted in then no problem .

Then you have to lock the cams in place with the cam clamps .

Then fit the chain .
