Jaguar XJ 2007 2 7 park brake fault light on continuously although park brake working properly. Has had a new Varta silver battery in March this year and the park brake motor replaced last week.

We may have a problem with the module. In some cases the module can be reprogrammed with the Jag factory tool. We can try re calibrating it a few more times by disconnecting just the negative battery terminal cable for about ten minutes then reconnect it and start the engine. Pump the brakes a few times then hold your foot on the brake and pull up the switch.

Tried that, Park Brake Fault light still permantly on but park brake operates correctly from pb switch and from throttle to take off?

Ok then we definitely will need to have the module scanned for the stored fault codes. Could be the software in the module.
