As far as a visible inspection you've already done the first step, making sure there is nothing foreign blocking the seat and no visible issues with the tracks.

If the other seat motors work then the issue is going to be with the switch, the fore/aft motor itself, a mechanical failure of the adjuster, or a wiring issue between the switch and motor. A wiring issue isn't that likely, and switches don't often fail either.

Is there any noise from the motor or does it attempt to move a small amount on one side or the other?
