Hi mate, have a 2014 Jaguar XF 2.2diesel that says "steering column locked" unable to start the bloody thing

The steering column lock is part of the security so unfortunately we cannot disable it. First make sure the battery is fully charged as low voltage can cause this. I see you already disconnected the battery but try just disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable for about an hour. If it still does not reset then the dealer will need to read the faults stored in the vehicle. Let me know.

Hi man - no nothing. Did have an OBDII reader that does not see anything.

Unfortunately only the factory tool can read faults in that module.

Ok - so no change of unlocking the steering lock manually ? If not the car needs to be transported to the garage
