Had a torque converter and gearbox change on a lux surf 3rd

Customer Question

Had a torque converter and gearbox change on a hilux surf 3rd gen and now there is no drive in any gear. Though when put in gear the engine seems to recognise with a slight change in noise. When in Park the car cannot be pushed and when in neutral it can be.

this sounds like the torque convertor may not be getting any oil pressure? Or is somehow faulty

I'd 1st suggest checking the transmisson oil level if you haven't already and if OK then I'd say that the oil pressure needs to be checked as the next step

and if its low then pull the sump and clean out the filter screens

and if that doens't help then the transmisson will need replacing again or rebuilding
