Customer Question

2007 ford mondeo 1.8tdci.
The vehicle intermittently has starting problems. It has no fault code. It will always crank, start, and run but will die after 2 or 3 seconds. Turn the key off again and it will start again on the button but cut out after 2 or 3 seconds. Never shown a fault code. Has fuel and fuel pressure, picking up a crank signal. Any ideas?

Hello and Welcome..

My name is***** happy to help / advise -

Before we progress I need some more details..

Can you give me the FULL reg of the car-

Too - what is its mileage... AND what is its service history like?

When the car plays up - what is the security system LED doing exactly?? If you haven't noted that - please try it amd let me know as its important...

When you say there are no codes - have you used an OBD tester?

What equipment have you used to check fuel pressure / and what pressure are you getting exactly?
