Customer Question

I have fitted a new clutch to my daughters car clio 1.1 1998, however with it on axle stands the wheels turn in neutral, also when in gear I am able to phically grab wheels and prevent them turning, I have dropped gearbox twice to check clutch is fitted correctly. also I can change gear whilst on axle stands without clutch

Welcome to
I hope i can help you today
before I can answer properly I just need to ask a few questions.
1. What was the reason for first changing the clutch. I.e was the clutch slipping?
2. What happens with the car on the ground and in gear, does it move?
3. If it doesn't move, with the car in gear can you hear the gearbox moving at all.
I look forward to your reply
