I have a Morgan fitted as standard with a 2.0l Duratec

Customer Question

Hi, I have a Morgan fitted as standard with a 2.0l Duratec engine.
The Morgan is registered 2008, but it's possible the engine could be from an earlier batch, it's completed only 28000 miles.
My Morgan has just failed the MOT with huge CO readings and slightly high HC readings. I'm at a loss to understand what could e causing this as I have replaced the pre-cat lambda sensor and the CAT looks OK. The car runs OK, with only a slightly muffled exhaust note to report the fact that it's running rich. Has anyone seen this before?
I do get an engine warning light relating to the new lambda staying it's running rich.
