Customer: My 2006 Jaguar X type just had a similar problem. Although the engine runs and there is no over heating signals, I can not accelerate. The car just jerks and would not respond. I also smell something burning although the temperature gauge is normal. When I checked under the engine, the radiator is normal but I notice a metal tube running across the car way below under the engine is glowing red hot, as if it is going to melt. What has gone wrong? Please help.
