What causes a 16v feul injection warning and serv light to come on

Okay... as the fault was cured for a time - and then arose again.. you need to have a diagnostic test done again I'm afraid.... this is because you have the lights on on the dash and this is indicating that the ECU has logged the faults as you may well know -and you need to know what the fault codes are no , this time, to progress properly with it.. You may well have problems with the Ecu unit - but you cannot condemn that without the proper testing ..

Another thing to check on these is the earths... the suffer with earthing problems, I have seen many ... so check the earths in the engine bay and peel back the insulation over the wires and check carefully up inside the loom - I have known many have broken wires in the insulation - or poor wiring and a such, that causes all sorts of faults even as you have..

So that would be the first action to take - and rectify any problems there you may come across - and that may well cure it... Its in LHM at the moment - limp home mode...which is why its seriously down on power - induced by the ecu - but if you find any earthing problems as above - disconnect the battery for half an hour , that would reset the system..

Other than that - you would need to have it diagnostic tested again and go from there....
